Dr. Chantal A. Rivera, founder of Lc productions, received a PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. Subsequently, she was awarded a Lerner Postdoctoral Fellow position at the Cleveland Clinic and a research associateship with the National Space Biomedical Research Institute/ NASA Johnson Space Center.

In 2000, she obtained her first faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston where she developed an interest in pediatric obesity. Now an Assistant Professor at Lousiana State University, Dr. Rivera continues  obesity research that is funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institutes (NHLBI).
